Raw or slabbed? If slabbed, by who?

Odds are you would be better off giving that money to charity. Might as well go to a good cause than a bad slab. There are lots of slabs with 70s on them. Very very very few of them are indeed worthy of the grade.

If you can find anybody else (other than the owner of the coin shop) that would grade it a PR70 then you should buy it and sell it to them.

If it was in a PCGS holder graded PF70, pay the money. It's worth every penny. If it's any other, don't waste the time my friend. I have many PF70's and they will NOT cross grade.

I would not trust an ICG 70. And some PCGS 70s.
  • I can't find a price anywhere ??..even the pcgs website.. If it's in a pcgs slab..It's a good buy for $39.00 ?

Yes, but is it in a pcgs slab? Or an ICG slab?

Obviously, the coin is in an ICG holder. The price of $39 may be fair for the 1964 coin, but YOU have to judge that for yourself. It is NOT a so called perfect coin (ie) 70 grade as defined by most knowledgeable collectors. To get that designation it would have to be in a PCGS or possibly an NGC holder. That coin in a PCGS holder is currently worth several hundred dollars if it is RED and more if it is CAMEO or DEEP CAMEO. Steveimage

Currently, the PCGS Population for PR70RD is @ 10.
    Zero Cameos.
ONE Deep Cameo.. (I'd love to see this one!)

Those are certainly overly broad statements/claims to make without having seen the coin.
  • OK, now that my curiosity is really peaked, I'm going back tomorrow. If it is an pcgs slab I will grab it and run like the wind..if it is in a icg slab i'll just run away..(no wind involved)..Thanks for the helpimage
  • If you don't like the coin shop owner. Leave some wind behindimage
