Don't laugh!!!!

Hi Group,
Don't laugh but the coin vault is talking about a "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" concerning the silver eagle program. I looked on the us mint pages online but didn't see any news about silver eagles. Anyone have information to share?

I'll bet it is the 20th anniversary labeled slabs that PCGS will be selling.

    From Tulvings website:

2005 is The 20th Anniversary Of The Gold And Silver United States American Eagle Program.
PCGS Is Going To Honor This Accomplishment With A Special 20th Anniversary Insert!!!

Started By The United States Mint In 1986, Both The Gold And Silver Program Have Been A HUGE Success!!
Over 10 Million Ozs. Of Gold Eagles Have Been Sold Over The Past 19 Years And Over 120 Million Ozs. Of Silver Eagles
Were Sold During That Same Time Frame. To Commemorate This Accomplishment, PCGS Has Designed A Special Insert
To Be Included With Each MS69 And MS70 Year 2005 Gold And Silver American Eagle They Grade And Encapsulate.

I had heard something along these lines but with NGC a 86 BU and a 05 BU in a double holder with some kind of commemorative label.

The topic was regarding the silver eagle program so it can't be the gold eagle.

How about a limited edition with a signature of some kind on the certified holder.

Hmmm?? The (6) '05 silver eagles I sent for certification were returned with a regular label?

The pops for the "Anniversary" issue, and mine, are like 20:1....

I caught that show also last night. They mentioned something about "25 years" and some other stuff. Wasn't paying to much attention to it. I'm wondering if they are going to change the design of the Silver Eagle(?)....
Well, I guess we will find out Sunday night.

Raven, if you read the advertisement you will notice that it says, "To Commemorate This Accomplishment, PCGS Has Designed A Special Insert

    Gold and SILVER American Eagle.
