my 1565 Scotland Ryal crossed!

DennisHDennisH Posts: 13,996 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just got the result on the PCGS website... my 1565 Scotland Mary & Henry Ryal, counterstamped with the thistle revaluation mark, crossed over from NGC VF30 at the same grade.

I'm also relieved to learn the coin wasn't too large to fit into a PCGS holder!

By the way, that blob on the palm tree between the date is a turtle climbing up the trunk -- no doubt a sad casualty of the WHACK impact caused during the counterstamping process.

When in doubt, don't.

  • Congrats, it's a great coin.image
  • its a great looking coin. I don't have a clue as to why a turtle would be climbing a palm tree though...
