My First Post -- Pocket piece P01??

Hi everybody ! I've been lurking around this forum for some time now , and I have to say this is the most informative bunch of guy's and gal's I've ever run into on the subject of coin collecting . I have decided to come out from the shadows ! I have a good luck half that I put in my pocket in 1967......... It's a (was) 1964 unc. (was)......I always carry alot of stuff in my pockets and this half is always with me . My picture taking skills are not very good so this is a scan , I hope I can get it to work .

    Welcome aboard.

Your picture skills seem fine, but you would be well advised to familiarize yourself with the "crop" tool.

Nice Kennedy! For those who know, given that it's a 1964, is it slabbable even though the date appears to be gone?

If you bring your cursor over it, the little hamburger looking thing pops up and you can click it to make it bigger.

Here's a Fair-2 for comparison! Yours is significantly more worn. The issue withgrading the coin will be the mint mark - or lack therein. If PCGS can't determine whether the coin is a "P" or a "D", so much for getting it holdered......but if it did, it would be a PO01. Even with your picture,it does look like there's a "D" on the reverse under the eagles talon.......

I ran into a gent at a local watering hole who has a pocket piece so thin and smooth that only two little spots on the obverse identify it as a Peace dollar. Amazing.
