Salem, VA Coin Show VAM finds

I went to the Salem, VA coin show today, which is usually a hit or miss type of show. Today was one of the hit days as I ran out of money before I ran out of tables to visit. I was able to buy several nice VAMs. A couple of them were lower grade but tough to find Top 100 VAMs and new additions for me. The remainder were AUs & BUs. My first focus is looking for any new or tough to find 1878-S VAMs. Now that I have a large percentage of them, it's getting tougher to find anything exciting or new. I did mange to find two of which I already have but are upgrades for me and they are a couple of the not-so easy ones. I'll just let some of the images do the talking. . .

Very nice jd, did you cherrypick these or were they already labeled?------------------BigE

  • These were cherry picked but then at a couple of the coin's prices, I'm not sure if I could call it a cherry pick.image I probably looked through about 300-400 Morgans to find these.

I just got back from the Salem, Va coin show. It was the first "coin show" I have ever been to.

I have been to "gun shows" that had a lot of coin dealer tables, but this was really a special treat for me. I felt like a kid in a candy store. LOL

I bought Virginia tokens, Jefferson nickels, and the most beautiful original rainbow bag-toned Morgan I have ever seen. Truly a great experience, and one I won't soon forget.
