I thought this was kind of a cool little item. It appears to be the envelope from a letter sent by Louis-Phillipe to Queen Victoria at her country retreat. Came in a box with a bunch of other junk.

Yeah, as cool as it is, it does have some things against it. No stamp. No signature. The original letter is gone. But at least someone on ebay thinks it's worth at least 20 bucks.

There would have been no stamp. It would have been hand-delivered by a diplomat.
