MD or DDR?

These pictures are rather large (1MB each) so take a look if you'd like. At first glance in hand (with the naked eye) it appears to be a DDR. But then, putting it under magnification, it looks MD. But then, it appears that the 'D' has seperate seriffs (this is a circulated coin) which brings into question could this contain a Class3 or Class6 DDR? What are your thoughts?
Notice also straight across, the "S OF" as well as "LL" in DOLLAR and above the lettering in UNITED.
