What happen to the Goldberg auction on EBay ?

I bid on a couple of Lincolns that Goldberg Auction over EBay being held at Long Beach Show. Besides the usual time change of when the auction was suppose the start, it now seems to have disappeared off the EBay radar screen. Am I the only one?

I bid on several items in yesterday's auction, but only won one.

They had some pretty coins in that auction, but I could not get the registration to work; kept getting "Technical Difficulties" message when I tried to link to VeriSign. Most of the lots I was interested in have closed out--most appear to have been won by floor bidders. There's still a 49-D FBL Franklin with nice peripheral toning left out there. BTW--NICE 81-S!!!

I had problems as well. I was waiting on a particular lot using their LiveView option and it froze and I never had a chance to see what happened. Luckily I put a bid on it long before the actual start.I bid $200 and now when I looked to see what it closed it says $65.00 but I was not the winner.

Overall, I think Ebay Live Auctions pretty much s*ck.

I'm not sure if thats the context in which suck was being mentioned. However now that you mention it, it is ok to suck depending of course on what you are sucking. Eggs for example may ( or may not ) be good to suck. Gas pipes unless in a real pinch for surgery may ( or may not) be good to suck.

Hmmm now it would appear to be heading into a good suck or bad suck scenario?

They always seem to have some sort of problem with e-bay. If you sit in on one of the auctions they are often taking breaks for problems with e-bay. I remember one time when they had to suspend the live e-bay portion of the auction for technical reasons.

Hey Elwood,

The smoking thing is over. It's now I think 25 days that I am nicotine free.

What's not over though is they've discovered blockages in my right corotid artery and I am also going for a heart catherterization this week.

The damage has been done and it's too late for crying about it. I'm frazzled over it as is my wife. God willing I can avoid the kind of major surgery that would be involved if I'm past the point of "hoping".

Don't fret too much, they're currently working on an enzyme that will act as coronary artery "draino" and should be available within the decade.

There's a bunch of italians that have this enzyme in their blood which prevents plaque/calcium build up in the artery. Drug companies are trying to chemically recreate the enzyme. So far, they think it can even reverse and clean out arteries that have been already corroded.

As for my auction -- I just found out that I won!!! For only $138.00. I can't wait to get this lot.

Its a 1958 double mint set with great original toning. Both sets are in custom Capitol holders and with the lot are the original envelopes. Kinda cool and for $138 -- a steal.

I was bidding on the big Franklin Half lot they had, 210 halves, MANY 1955/49 coins and of course a ton of 63s. It sold for 1650 which was slightly more than I wanted to spend. The commission charge and shipping charges were surely rapetacular.
