Remember the Ruffin Family of Scammers?

I was dealing poker last night when our brush came over the PA that there was a seat for "Ruffin" open. My ears perked up and watched as a guy was seated at my table. Seemed to be in his 30's, reddish/blond hair, with a southern accent and wearing a Carolina t-shirt! Too many coincidences so asked the brush to quietly find out his first name.
He came up to me a little later to say it was Alan. Not remembering that name from the Ruffin Clan that scammed so many of us, I let it go but DAM* did I want to ask if he had relatives in Fayetteville!
If he's there again tonight, I probably will ask if he's related to a Kevin and/or Edna Ruffin in Fayetteville. If he says yes, anybody got any suggestions as to how I should proceed? Remember, he isn't one of the scammers (as far as I know) so nothing to be done with him but info on the others....?

Everything starts and everything stops at precisely the right time for precisely the right reason.

Depends on which side you were on. Of course, revisionist history has really done a number on the war.
Well, he didn't even bother to contact me (big surprise!) so sent the letter back to them dated 12/14/04. Nothing since.
Back last year when this family was the talk of the forums as linked, Steve (rkfish) was actively looking into this as he was/is? in law enforcement and trying to help. Steve, if you read this, got any updates?
Back to Adam Ruffin...he wasn't in the card room tonight so I couldn't ask him if he was related. I haven't forgotten what he looks like tho so if he shows again, I won't pass up the opportunity.

As stated in my last post, the Consumer Protection Program of my USPS fraud complaint is still actively at work on this for me and should also be for those of you that filed same. Hang in there!

The winners write the history books.
The War of Northern Agression is what it is called in a large part of this country.
It was never a Civil War. By definition a Civil War is where you have two factions fighting for control of the central government. That was never the case, the South didn't want to control the North, they simply didn't want to be taxed unfairly and forced to support the Northern States which weren't carrying their load.
