US Mint order hasn't shipped yet !!!!!

Following threads yesterday I have an order in at the mint, placed on 1/6/05 and the website has it shipped on 1/8/05, I can even follow the tracking number that states it was in San Francisco on 1/12/05 but I haven't received it yet.

So I called them and after speaking to three different people they say it hasn't shipped yet! WTF!

And my westward nickel set is back ordered to 2/24/05, looks like I will be the last person on the planet to get these!

I have a bunch of mint sets marked as "shipped 1/24". Seeing that you haven't recieved yours yet, I guess I won't be getting mine any time soon.

They do some very strange things these dayze . . . my order has was shipping on 1/26 and 'supposedly?' has been sitting in Oklahoma City since the 28th!!! (The backordered part/shipment 2 was shipped 2/1 and already received.) Now I wonder if it's really even there. (I was one of the first to get the WJ medal set - probably because I didn't order but 4 of them.)

I didn't look where it came from at the start of it's journey. It just went to San Fran on its way to me here in Sacramento. I looked a bit further on the USPS tracking system and the package went to Richmond, CA on 1/13. I have had big problems getting packages out of that black hole in the past

I placed my order for the sets on 1/05/2005 at first on the phone and told they were sold out 15 minuites after they went on sale...then I went to the computer and placed my order...then I got an email saying they had been backordered and then I get all my sets on 1/21/2005....word is someone tried to hord them within the first 15 min and then when the mint went to ship them they found out and broke the hord up...I guess you got them according to where your name was on the list....

Mine came from Memphis, TN. Placed the order on line on a Friday morning and I received
the order on Monday.

Yeah, my stuff came from the Memphis "fulfillment center." Sounds like a misnomer in light of these posts, or else the problem is with the intermediary stops along the way. You might trying calling the fulfillment center also, they may feel the need to assist and live up to the name.

Join the club. I posted about my "back order" problems with my sets last week when i found out I was pushed back to 2/21. After reading your post I figure I'm back to 2/24 now.

You won't be the last person on the planet to get these, looks like we will share that dubious distinction!

Order Date: 01/06/2005 at 10:22 PM 3 sets ordered and acknowledged.Back ordered twice !!!
I checked again today on status You guessed it !
"Item is no longer available". WTF ???.They never sent me an Email telling me that my oder was cancelled.Just kept me hanging.What a crock!!!
