Is it worth while...

to slab later date walkers? I've been contemplating sending in some '41-47 MS walkers for grading. What do you think?

What conditions are they in, and what would be your reason for having them slabbed?

Unless they are a lock 64+ Id say no. If you have extra cash and wana preserve them and take a chance go for it.

If they are high grade and you plan on selling them, then yes.

Otherwise it's up to you to decide why you want them slabbed.

  • They're MS 63 and a few MS 64 from what I can tell. Some were previously slabbed by NGC MS64 and ANACS MS64.
  • I don't see why not. That would help preserve them in the present condition. If you decide to sell them, they will already be authenticated and a "safer buy" for a potential buyer over purchasing them raw.

When I buy slabbed coins, I take into consideration $20 bucks for the work the previous seller did for me that I don't have to do.

If you can afford it and want to preserve them for the future..go for it!! image

  • If you have the 41,2,3,4, and 5 S mint in 64 the answer is yes,42D in 64 as well,perhaps the 47 D also

Anything else in 63 is not worth the slab fees IMHO.

    I threw a 34 , 38, 39D and 42 in on my freebee's. 34 came back AU-58, 38 MS-63 39D au-58 and 42 MS-64. Expected higher on all especially the 38. But compared to thr price I paid VS worth what they can be moved for................good deal..............Rick
