Got the raw 1888 Rainbow Morgan today

Too bad for the staple scratch on the reverse. Still a pretty coin and I think it was worth the $56 I paid for it.

Very pretty, and good eyes. Wasn't that the one with the lousy image that half the people thought was AT? Like Anaconda says in a listing of a $3800 raw morgan, if a doctor was this good, they would do it to a flawless coin and retire.

Thanks Herb. Remind me about it the next time we get together to show it to you. It's a beauty.

RGL, I have a nickel the same color as your icon. It's a 1963 proof.

No, that's the one with the good image that everyone thought was NT but that some people thought was baggy and scratched.

Eric, your appology must have been lost in cyberspace, but it is accepted anyway.

Edit to add: It is a shame about the staple scratch. I hate to see those. Those old stapled 2x2 holders have ruined a lot of coins.

Apology for what? I never argued that it did not have a slight scratch, I argued that the coin was not a 61, which was later a 62. Without that scratch, it gets in a 63 holder easily.

That was a good bargin for $56.
  • Eric - I just bought a NEW 19" flat panel- NOW I have to get a bigger one because of this pic. Nice Morgie by the way. image

If you are running a 19" LCD, you should be running it at 1280x1024, and the picture will fit that way. As a matter of fact, the native resolution for most 19" LCD monitors is 1280x1024.
