I think your best bet on that is going to be German and French jetons/medals from 1600-1700s. I suppose it's possible that there's a coin with such a depiction, but I certainly don't know what it would be.

It would have to be after the 17th century. The first depictions of a "Devil" were portrayed in "Dante's Inferno" written in that period.image

I'm aware of no gold coin with such an image -- St. George slaying the dragon (sometimes a symbol for the devil) is likely the closest you'll get. There may be gilt medals with such a device ... or are you stuck on "gold" and "coin"?

MrEureka, that appears to be similar to my icon token. Is the one you depict cast? Mine appears to be struck, but I can't be absolutely positive on that.

I gave a bunch of Brit pennies to some guests at the hotel (no, there were no 1933's in there). They were playing poker and wanted something to use as poker chips (and ballmarkers for the golf course). I happened to have brought some Darkside stuff to work with me for sorting during my downtime. So I gave 'em the coins and got a nice tip.

One of the guys took one look at the penny (and presumably George's beard), and said to the others, "Hey, mine has Satan on it... whuddoyall have on yours?" image

(He'd had a bew feers and some lots of shiquor, if you knowhutimean.) image

Or Britania's pitchfork (trident) - or both and made a logical, if flawed leap
