before i submitted i thought it had a shot at MS67 and was a lock at MS66 but wasn't certain about the steps. this was kind of a test coin for me as far as judging steps for that Reverse and i guess i can use it as a sort of "grading slab" for the 1938-39 issues. there are 5 complete and unbridged with slight weakness at number six under the third pillar-----where else would it be weak, right??

if you look at the coin from a steep enough angle the fifth step will vanish in that area, but viewed straight ahead or along the steps from the MM side the lines are clearly defined. there aren't any contacts but there are some minute ticks you can see with a 5-10X loupe. the overall luster is solid with a hint of gold tone overall.
