1957-D Lincoln: What's Going On?

Found this 57-D Lincoln with several things going on with the Reverse. Pieces of the Die on the left Wheat, also on some of the letters? Seem's like qute a bit of differenct stuff going on here. Can anyone help me out on this? Any premium values? Thanks, Lee

  • Hi, Lee, those are chips caused by breaks in the die, nice diagnostics for die ID. Helps to match up die pairs and ID rpm's and doubles dies too.
