I'm not exactly sure what this is, do you know? {LARGE IMAGES}

I am planning on putting this on e-bay, but I am not sure exactly what to call it, a medal?

The packaging it came with has it labeled as 'Sovrano Militare Ordine Di Malta' there was two coins/medals at one time, but I only have the one shown.
It appears to be Silver to me, and I do not see it in Krause.

    I'm very new to this but...

    Order of Malta
    M10
    unc (4,000) $15
    proof (1,000) $20

    I have a 2002 though, so prices are probably lowimage

    Thanks Joe, I think I got it from you a year or two ago?
  • Yes Glenn, I have its brother coin, 1 Scudo-(M9) The Head of John the Baptist on a platter.image

    The 2004 Krause had no listings for "SMoM", I believe these are technically NCLT and Krause designated them as medals with the "M".

    Dork Girl, good job!

    Oddly enough my one Order of Malta coin is also a 1964 2 Scudi image I've seen a number of the same date over the years on eBay.

  • Nice toning, the reverse of my icon has a similar one, slightly more intense.

    The artist, Monassi, is an Italian who has done quite a number of Italian, US and Vatican medals.
