I was just looking at gold on Heritage and found that it would be difficult to choose a design if I were to buy a piece. At first, I looked at some Saints, and of course they're beautiful, but then i voyaged into the $20 liberty's and the design is soo simple and elegant that's it's spectacular. Even the indians caught my eye. So, based soley on the three designs, excluding denomination, gold content, and price, which appeals most to you?

2.5 Indian. Odd denomination, incused design, and it has an indian on it with a sweet headress.

$10 indian, one of my favorite designs of all time. I enjoy $20 libs aswell as saints but the $10 is definately my favorite.

The $2.5 and $5 incuse designs rock, but the $10 Indian is a real beauty.

I am partial to the Liberty design. If you look carefully, Liberty is a bit different on the various denominations. If you are looking to get a single piece, and money is a major issue, a $2.50 Liberty would probably be the way to go. My first gold coin was a $2.50 Lib:

I like the Saints but I only have 1, umm I have 3 Indians - they were the first 3 gold coins I ever bought.

How can we call the $10 Indian an "INDIAN"...it's an Anglo woman..and to add insult to injury, women in Native American culture never donned a chieftains headdress. It's a bogey, IMO.
