I use CD box mailers for raw coins, and small boxes for slabbed coins. They're a liitle more expensive, but well worth it for the protection they offer.

    Thanks for the opinions....

Aren't these the same thing as the Safe T Mailers but at 25% of the price?

I also like the cd box idea....

    Thanks

    Trooper,

I use the safe-t-mailers you linked from cheshiremailers.com. They work quite well, and are priced very competitively.

Also, ask them about their Jet-Cor mailers (white). These are EXCELLENT for mailing coins and can be used for registered packages (taped properly) as well as first class mail. I use the 00 size for most shipments and have not had a "mailer" problem in years. Obviously larger sizes are available, as well.

PM me if you would like more information.

I use padded bubble mailers from Staples. The 00 size is $45.00 for 250. About 17c each.

I use foam pouches from Uline

    Uline Foam Pouches

The 3" x 4" will protect a PCGS, NGC, Segs, or smaller slab. A few raw coins in flips will also fit nicely. Since I ship primarily by Priority Mail, I put the pouch in a 6x10 Priority Mail envelope (free from the PO). Obviously they will also fit in boxes.

Bought a box of 500 a year or so ago - thought it was a lifetime supply - but I have used about 200 already.

Personally, I do not care for the fold-over corrugated safety mailers with adhesive on them. I have had slabs marred by them. I know they are popular and cheap, but I have never had that problem with the foam pouches.

  • Here's a product I have used. It is the same self-stick corrugated material,
but comes in a roll. Very handy as it can be cut to any size.

    Instant Make-A-Box

I've also used some of these boxes, which are very strong and require no tape to build.

    Indestructo Mailers

Their prices in general seem higher than U-Line, but maybe similar products are
    available elsewhere.
