How lucky are we to be in a country which is at war for no good reason?

tell that to the kids and people in Iraq.

The Gobrecht eagle is the best!
  • Right on, eminem and goose. Em, every time I see my favorite guy as your icon, I think how much that particular photo also looks like Hal Sutton, the pro golfer.

  • I prefer the Walking Liberty half eagle.
  • pharmer- I don't want to start a mass republican melee here - but do you truly feel that GWB has actually done some good by sending KIDS to fight a country that has been at war within itself for a few thousand years and honestly expect U.S. to straighten it out?

I'm a democrat by thought only- but sending kids to get killed while they eat a lunch..sorry man- this is Viet Nam all over again, only this time it's NOT communism- we call is Bushism/Terrorist.

When you don't find what you want - just send in more to make it look as if it is there- you may find it after 2-10,000 troops lose their lives.

oh- and yes I was in that last stupid fracas we had in the 70's- did 7 months there trying to figure out who the bad guy really was! Ask a few of the Vets from that era- it was a total waste of human life.

  • This is my latest Eagle, I freed it from a PCI slab a few days ago. The Lable read "100% White"

The toning is from the PCI insert, which really had a strong oder when I cracked it out

The rim is a golden color

The slaughter of 3000 innocent lives on our own soil is plenty reason. The Nazis, Japanese Imperialists, and the Communists
threatened our love of freedom and we defeated them. The Islamic fundamentalists are going down next. God bless our President
and our brave troops for doing a great job.

My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
  • We invited ourselves to the war in Europe- thank the brits for that, the japs felt we were to pushy- gee how far off were they, the communists did nothing but try to run the orientals into control- we did not like that- now do you honestly think that the Islamic nation which is 5 times larger that us is going to go down in a democratic society?

I applaud what our troops are trying to accomplish- but the fight was not with Iraq- we needed to get into a country that for the least important aspect of this war- was to make daddy Bush feel good that his kid got the leader of a crappy country- he did not get the one who did in fact spill the blood of the innocent- he is still loose and capable of doing worse, probably been in an out of the US 2 or 3 times since, and why- our own 'Intelligence' has no idea where Osama is. so much for military intelligence. In the meantime we allow the press to come up with BS that makes everyone run for cover just give a terror alert and watch how much of your tax dollar is wasted. I get to see it everyday in just a small little place- an airport.

They are fighting today- and it's xmas- do you think that the Islamic nation cares what day this? NO they will fight us when we sleep or take a break- they know there land better than we do- just like the VC, they knew and guess what- we pulled out, another NO WIN situation, ad Korea also.

Sorry for sounding off but I do respect the armed forces- I do not respect the authority that is keeping them there for an unwarranted reason.

Last I heard it warn't the Iraqis that flew the airplanes into the World Trade Centers (less than two blocks from where I now sit, by the way).

Go tell it to a hunnert thousand newly-dead Iraqis, bigmouth.

Numismanic, you're an ignorant fool, Sadam had nothing to do with events at the World trade Towers on 9/11, and Osama Bin Ladin doesn't, didn't, and never had anything to do with Iraq. Get your facts straight!
