Opinions sought on two toned Morgans

Both of these have been graded by PCGS - the blue one is a 64, the reddish one a 65, both are a bit unusual - I was wondering what you guys thought of these. Both are very lustrous, which you would expect for this date - the reverses have a little bit of gold to them but are for the most part uneventful, so I didnt picture them. Thanks.

The pictures make them look very splotchy, which I don't necessary feel is an accurate representation. I think both would go nicely in a toned set like mine, but again, hopefully they look better in hand than the pictures are making them appear.

I wouldn't even being able to grade them from the pictures as I can't tell marks from color breaks.

Perhaps the splotchyness is a bit accented in the pictures - but they are as shown for the most part.

Depends which "Holder" they are in is what's important. Rattle, dolly, green tag, blue with bar code on back, blue with bar code on front.

THEN, and ONLY then can we give an accurate opinion!!!!

The second reddish coin looks like a few that I've seen stored on old 2'X2' envelopes. If the blue color on the other coin is continuous into the recessed letters of the head band, date, inside of letters as well as tops, etc. etc. (in otherwords , no shade change), then I would disagree with the PCGS opinion that it is genuine long term natural oxidation and say it is instead artifical tone added with to intent to decieve. Of course only you have to coins in hand to really tell, and I presume that PCGS might say the blue is market acceptable regardless.

Louis-Notice how the shade of tone changes with the depth of the strike, inside the letters vs, their top, in the curlls, etc.? A very nice NT Morgan with end roll toning IMHO.!

Frank's 80S and 81S tend to be a bit garish, if that is the right word, to me. I much prefer the more subtle toning on Eric and Louis's coins for my tastes. All very nicely toned coins, though.
