1878 CC VAM 6

I just got a coin back from ANACS a 1878 CC it was graded AU50 but it also has (VAM-6 DDO) TOP 100 in the grading area. Not sure what tht means can you help?

    Great coin!

It's a doubled die obverse, as seen by the big side-side shift in the oak leaves on Liberty's head.

There's a nice premium that goes along with this one, too. Instead of $100 as a regular AU50 it's probably more like $150.
    When in doubt, don't.

Did you pay them extra to research the coin for you or did they just put that on the holder?---------BigE
    I'm glad I am a Tree
  • That means you have a nice coin and a good/desirable VAM, part of the Top 100. You should get a decent premium for the coin if you ever decide to sell.image
