My 500th post (NOW 1,000) and my FREE Roosie give-away!

StoogeStooge Posts: 4,668 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hi everyone!

I have been on these boards for a long time (Over 2 years) and have read some great things. In the 2+ years that I've been around, I have made what I would like to call a few good friends. Some I have had the privledge to speak to on the phone. Its been alot of fun!

In the past I have seen and also been the recipient of a free coin (Thanks Mr. Cascio!) for special reasons, mostly for a 500, 1000, 10,000 post. I'm not on these boards alot and just now with this post, have a finally accumulated my 500th post. Sooooo....

I recently up-graded a coin in my Roosie set (Thanks again Mr. Cascio) and with the help of the #1 set holder (Rick), I have decided to give a beautiful 1981-P PCGS MS67FB pop 26/2 to Ron Napierkowski (AKA) a1nipper! This is one of my very first coins I purchased on eBay in a PCGS holder, actually long before the Full Band designation occured. It may be one of the early FB Roosie clad dimes as I sent all of my dimes in for the free designation review the same week that PCGS started to designate FB!

I have enjoyed owning it, and I hope that Ron enjoys it also!

Later, Paul.

Later, Paul.

    Nice idea Paul,

Ron is a great guy and he has not upgraded his Roosies lately. Maybe this will help motivate him again. He still has the best set in western Pa. Just a little private snipe there Ron! I hope you enjoy the coin!!!!

    Paul,

That was a great gesture. More of us should follow your lead. Happy Holidays.

Nice give away Paul, In the spirit of the holidays and Paul's nice gesture. I'll do
a give away with a little hide and seek game. I have hidden a low pop clad dime
somewhere on these boards, I believe it's a pop 2/2 with a value of $200. First
one to find it and carry out the instructions and PM me the secret word gets
    it.......

I just went looking for it and I hid it so well I couldn't find it. I know its there though.

    Have fun

Well, I guess I made that one to easy. Tim poston found it first. A 1986P MS66FB pop 2/2
It was buried in the testing forum.

Tim, The coin will be in the mail tomorrow.

    Hi again:

I recently have been digging up old Roosie posts and some of these bring back some GREAT memories. I have had twice as much fun as a Roosie collector since this thread was posted and thats almost another 2 years! The reason I dug this one up is because I am now at the 1,000 post mark, in about 5 posts or so, and have to come up with a giveaway. I have a couple dimes in my reserve arsenal that I have not sold on eBay, and was wondering which one, and to whom I should choose to give one too.

Maybe I can get some nominations for a deserving collector that is in need of a boost in their set. image

    Let the nominations begin!

I just sent 10 coins to a YN collector who is trailing another YN. I figured he could use a boost, besides, it gives you a good feeling to help out someone like that. No big dollar stuff, but they are inline with the coins he has now.
I hope he gets the bug, and someday pulls into the top spot. Sorry JHF nothing personal. image
