Reviewing past auctions, unopened individual proof sets from 1954 fetched approximately $200 to $230 each. So the value range for a box of ten of these would be between $2000 and $2300...this guy has em up for opening bid of $3100 and a BIN of $3200...
At current price levels, this guy WILL NOT sell the box, IMHO.
The price drops considerably once the sets are opened, and considering the improbability of finding a high-grade cameo that you would need for a score, you'd be crazy to rip 'em, even if you could get a good price.

<< <i>Don't the ones in those little boxes usually have stains from the staples on the glassine envelopes the coins are in ? >>
Usually is the wrong word. Sometimes they do. They also sometimes have weird purple toning.
