I'm going through some coins that I haven't paid much attention to recently, and putting together
stuff to sell in order to be able to buy the things that are currently interesting me.
I have a 1979 T2 SBA in PCGS PR69DCAM that I picked up when I bought a complete 1979 T2 proof set
from R&I several years ago (Don't ask why I bought it!) I plan on getting rid of the other coins, but
I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and make a full SBA set since I already have one of the keys.
Is it a silly reason to collect a set just because it only has a few coins and I happen to have one of the keys?

<< <i>If you happen to have the opportunity to find a party someone who had a complete set of SBA-s, minus that type II (me, me, me), perhaps you could work out a deal to pick up the balance of the coins relatively inexpensively. In case you had not thought of that.

In my opinion...yes...unless you really like the coins.

I whole-heartly agree. Collect what you like, not what you can get. On the other hand, finishing a set, even one that small feels really good.

and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
and the 1928 Peace, they are all affordable. Hmmm.
By the way Frank, that has got to be the all time best PCGS message board
