Thanks for the publicity Adrian......I didn't even see this thread originally
I am trying to make the site informative and provide lots of nice images of coins I own. I have a long way to go, but I have made a lot of progress! I don't want to steal other peoples images for the site, but since I have seen a lot of nice coins posted that I will never own I may go back and ask certain individuals for permission to use their images giving full credit to them of course.
The morgan in Question was modified using the morphing software include with my QX3 digital microscope. I couldn't take a nice clean full shot of the moran with it so I took a nice scan of one of the morgan's I own and imported it into the program. I then used a feature called bugs eye to make the imagine Adrian posted. It works with any coin or image and basically just break it up into an image like a fly would see.
I thought it would be fun to throw it on my site as multiple striking error
There isn't much that is more infuriating than to see one of those irritating little black spots on a really nice coin. But then again I don't spose that back in 1886 they really much cared about what folks were going to think in 2004. Nice pix on the website KC.

Is that the famous 1/1/1/86/8/8/6/6/6/86 fragmented date?
Whoa! I just noticed that she has six black boogers!
Yup, the cranberry sauce. Oh, wait....I didn't have any cranberry sauce. Must be the triptothan.

I think the Ikes would make a great background for a page. LandLord let me know if I can use that on my site!!!!!
I'd be honored.
<< <i>If I had not look at the name of the image I wouldn not have been able to tell that was a Piece dollar >>
The section that was able to make that pattern is the upper (short) tail feathers on the reverse.
The Kaleidescope feature in paintshop pro, has a randomize feature which I used (many times) to come up with that one.
<< <i>Free to use iether of them on your site.
I'd be honored. >>
Very sweet!!!! I am just about to add another page and I will be using the Ikes as the background. I will let you know when it's complete
