Whatever "overpriced" means. It just seems a decent example is pushing 100k? It is a cool coin that has everything going for it....but 50 to 75k just to play with a funky example?

He just told you that he mispriced it at my request. He actually sold it to me for the 20k he was asking.

I don't think so, but I may be biased because I have owned one for 22 years (Spinks Carnegie sale). This is an all time classic coin, out first silver dollar crudly made on a half dollar press with misaligned dies. To me, a surviving example should be priceless as we do not own such coins, but are merely custodians for a few years.
I do not, however, think they are overvalued. It's a legitimately rare coin with a great "lore" and high demand.

I think a 179x(US) coin is a cool coin and always will be.
A frind of mine just bought a 1794 half dime with a hole in it,I think it's a cool coin.
As for the dollar,I'm still in,when I get the cash.

I agree. Thank goodness for the 1798 Large Cents.
How much did the holed 1794 half dime cost your friend?
It might have made a grade of good(had a hole in it)and I think he payed close to $400 for it.
Are 1794 Dollars overpriced?
One could make the arguement that 1794 Dollars are underpriced. That would be an easy arguement to win. They are classic rarities that are far more interesting and historically important than 1804 dollars. The 1794 $ is such a coin that should never be on a "greysheet" for a myriad of reasons. We have owned a couple of 94 dollars (briefly). I hope to one day own one for my own collection.
ER, your 1794 is AWESOME!!!!
