Insured to Canada?
Hi,
Im trying to do a favor for my Dad.
Does anyone know if there is an insured mail service available from the US to Canada and what type of service is it? The insured amount would be $2000.
Happy Holidays!

Hmmm . . . I thought you could insure up to $5000 to Canada but the USPS site says maximum is $1000. I would check at your local PO if possible.

I don't know what their insurance limits are, but they sure track their packages more closely. NEN has used FedEx to get shipments to me.

Some Canadian dealers have sent high value coin packages to me via Fedex without incident.

I had the feeling it might be something like that.
Thanks for all the help. I would go with the registered if that's the best the post office offers. I've received coins that way from Canada with no problem, knock on wood.
Happy Holidays everyone!
