I have been working on this set going on now 3 years and just reached a mile stone with my set. I have just 20 to go (plus 3 upgrades needed). This set can be done a budget,
so far each one has been under 40.00 -most much less. The set so far has averaged just 19.00 a coin. This is a great set for a starter set. My question is how far do think I can go finding ones under 40.00. I see ten more that I think I can get before I have to did deeper. My goal is to get the whole set under the 40.00 average and I still have room to do that.

Quick update just got two more for under 40.00 and these were a surprise a 1982 D and just picked up a 68 D from a board member Auction ,so I feel good that I can keep this under a 40.00 average per coin.

Edited to add that 1966 and 1969-D might go over that.

My Ebay!
more difficult with each passing year but even the toughest ones are still available now.
They may not be by the time you finish a set started now, though.

And the 1965, 1967, 1970-D. The 1969-D has gone as high as $450 recently in MS66, although I think that sale was a fluke. Average is about $200.
Edited to add: The one 1969-D I was able to make in MS66 sold for $318.
