My Ultra Cool Display Case just in from Solid-Craft!!! *Pics*

This display has got to be the best! It looks so great, holds the coins at any angle securely, and is mega classy! I also found out that
since it stays at the angle you spin it to, it is handy for photography. I'm thinking of getting a single coin display just for that reason.
I chose this 7 coin display for my Coronet Half Eagle set, the only coin made at all domestic U.S. Mints (excluding West Point).
I'm missing New Orleans & Denver so I threw in two Eagles to fill it. Thank you forum member Solid for an awesome product!!!!!

This is the case in Walnut.

I took these while they were held in the display, right where I wanted them.

  • That case is sure nice and the black shows the gold well. I bet it fits in a long safe deposit box too for vacations away. image

    Hi,
I don't think that putting a wood display in a safety deposit box is a good idea - this is a superior wood display precisely because it is open-air (apart from being attractive and well constructed). I believe the aluminum insert is supposed to be removed and put in the Safety deposit box/safe etc., not the wood display itself.

    Best,
    Billy image
  • Hi All,
I thought I'd give a link to Kens Kool Kases. I thought it would be incredibly ironic for me to plug a wooden case - as this is a really good case of well thought out design - open air and aluminum (right on!) removable tray - I can, so I did. The only more ironic thing would be for me to want one......and I do image got one that holds 4 PCGS?

    Best,

  • I appreciate the kind words, Dale - we've strived to make these the finest

Super coins and great photos - thanks for sharing! image

For safekeeping, the showcases are designed so that you can easily
remove the entire rotating display panel with your coins intact. Use
the assembly tool to back out the security bolts at each end and
store the entire panel in your safe or safety deposit box.

I hadn't thought about using one for photography - that's a good idea!
If you're shooting a number of coins, just leave the top two frame bolts
out while your're working and it would only take a few seconds to
    exchange coins.

Yes- the panel comes off the base. Very easy to do but you have to use the special security bit to back out the screws.
