I don't do this very often...I usually like to give opinions...but...

Picked this 79-S up in a Yahoo auction (from a guy I've dealt with before and trust). Don't have it in hand yet. Whaddya think based on this picture...

Looks better than average strike to me, I like it. Looks like a frosty Liberty, if the fields show halfway decent mirrors in hand ...YOU SUCK! I'd say 64 if there's some luster, otherwise a 63.

Unless there's some rub hidden by toning (AU-58), it's a lock 63, shot 64, but little too many frost breaks for 65. Of course there's a grand total of $75 difference so who cares. The coin has a nice cameo devices and original old time toning with attractive eye appeal. So much nicer than the dipped junk you that floods the market. Nice buy.

Thanks guys. He advertised it as a 64...I paid 63 sheet for it. I liked the look of it, and he's one of those rare guys whose coin normally looks better than the pictures he shows.

And karl..it's raw, and gonna stay that way !!
