1799 ANACS AG03 Bust Dollar. I had to pull the Trigger on this one. . .

Finding these without problems/issues is tough
I know it's a low grade, but the next, slight bump up is almost double the price.
These old dollars have seen some significant gains in the last year or so.
I like the detail on the reverse. Admittingly, the obverse is what holds back the grade. (I'm hoping it won't be quite as dark, in hand.)

Mike, I have no idea about the insert specifics. What variety this is, I have really no idea.

I don 't know if you had to have the 1799 date, but if you just wanted a low grade bust dollar, Heritage also has a 1798 Large Eagle $, ANACS AG3, with a slightly nicer obverse, for the same price, $480, in their inventory, as of today. BTW, it's not mine. Just thought you like to know.
Very nice dollar. One of these days, I will invest in one just like it. I have always wanted a pre-1800 dollar in my collection.
Great buy.
Richard.
