So far I have not been able to capture the true color of the coin, which is much more choclate brown than what these images show.
I got this at the monthly coin show in Anaheim back in October....

I am no expert but I don't think it is rim damage either, looks more like metal flow, maybe a defective collar? Or something with the die
itself. I'm not knowledgeable enough to be sure.....
