OT and Super Important!

I'll be at the polls from before dawn 'til after dusk Tuesday, as an election worker.

Whether you are for (alphabetical order) the American Independent, Democratic, Green, Libertarian, Peace & Freedom, Republican, or some other party's candidate - spend a few minutes at your own polling place! This could be the most important election of your lifetime!

Thanks for being an election worker Roy. It's a long day's job, but an important one.

  • Turned in the 4th ballot at the precint this AM, thank you very much! There were a couple hundred people in line behind me as well, so I think we will have a great turn-out for this election!

Turned in my 4th ballot about an hour ago. As we say in Chicago, "Vote early and vote often." Oh, wait, that's probably not what you meant. image

Well said, Roy! I was at the polling place at 6:45 this morning and was number 31 in line. By the time I got done voting at 7:13, the line was 200 yards long. I saw more people at the polls this morning than I have seen in all the combined elections in the last nine years since we moved to North Floridaimage

  • Started preparing the polls for opening at 5:59 a.m. Got my receipt for the voted ballots, etc. from the Registrar of Voters at 9:56 p.m.

Having about 85% of the registered voters in my precinct either show up and vote, or send in their absentee ballot, makes a 16-hour day worthwhile! image

Fortunately, Texas allows early voting. I went the final day of it (last Friday) and got through very quickly.
