check out the ticket I just got graded

It took them quite a while to grade it, and I was told they consulted with several Negro League experts, but needless to say I was very happy with the results (which were well deserved).
As far as I'm concerned, it's the mother of all tickets!

  • How cool is that!

That would look GREAT at the Negro League Museum here in KC!!!

Just curious, did they consult the museum on this nice ticket?

  • 1948 was the last year for the Negro League World Series, i dunno about the last all-star game..
  • where did you come across that?
  • Dallas 88, not sure who they consulted, got a signed letter from someone with two big J's in their signature.
I got it from the 1988 National. I think I bought it from Jerry Smolin. It's been sittin' in my safe until this years National.

After the 1948 season, the Negro National league disbanded. From what I can find, it was the last All Star game. They may have played some barnstorm game and called it an All Star game, but this was really it.

That's a great piece of history you have there. It's got me wondering who played in that game.
