doesn't he have a web or email address?

  • looks nice - but

Logo - Valley Coins - doesn't stand out enough - maybe larger/bolder? or add rule? or something

    Dansco mispelled

"need coins" at top sounds a bit desperate

I would add some 'white space' before the "with this flyer blip.

"in store" (appraisals) should be "in-store" with dash

Extended holiday hours needs to be condensed - possible abbreviate and smaller.

Right/bottom a little too wordy - add rules or graphics, underline Hours, condense wording/abbreviate and add white space - possibly switch between two typestyles to separate?

Nice job! Overall it looks very professional.

There is a very heavy emphasis on buying coins - but they forgot the "required" phrase saying they pay in cash! People like that.

Correct the spelling of "hoards" (two places).

I don't know what "metal detecting services available" means - maybe elaborate a bit on that?

I always wondered why such brochures don't ever mention something about helping people get started with collecting. Something like "Thinking about starting a coin collection? Coins are a great hobby and you can enjoy collecting whether your budget is small or substantial. Come in and talk with us and we'll help you get going with no obligation."

Who is the intended audience? The general (non-collecting) public, or people already in the hobby?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I lightened up some of the images and did a few other things to clean it up.

I'd personally try to find a font that's a little less condensed--if the flyer is any smaller than what I see on my monitor, or even depending on how it's printed, I think some of the smaller print will blur into rectangles.

Otherwise, I really like the layout image

Not bad, good use of pictures. I am assumming it is a tri-fold flyer.

However, it seems a little "too busy" for me. Almost too much text. I see the font is in different sizes. How about using a different font as well. Maybe color?
  • I like it now that you have the typo's fixed. I see mention of changing the font. I think font boils down to personal preference and to me, the font on this is just fine.

Has a classy look to it. The black and white and groupings really caught my eye.
