Maybe we should just bid on Russ's pictures and forget the coins.

If you mean did he ask me, no. But, I don't care. Anybody who does ask gets an automatic yes anyway.

I don't think I'd have the nerve to do that. My luck it would get lost in the mail from Russ.
Interesting that he tried the quick flip for $100 and when that didn't work he relisted it @ $1 no reserve and lowered the BIN.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

This guy isn't too bright. The first rule of selling is never offer something you don't have in your hands.

email him that you'll just wait and ship it to his winner for a fee which includes photo useimage

editted: and if you are feeling really offended...make it contingent on postive feedback then move in slow motion so he gets the negimage

Doesn't bother me any. I just think it's funny. The guy paid immediately, so I figure what the hell?

  • He may be on to something. Could it be that some folks don't want to buy from you due to the pleasant demeanor you display on these boards?

    Hey, I just made a Russ-like quip! Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Gee, that made a lot of sense. Maybe you should read the post before responding. image

And maybe you should wait for me to correct the typo before zinging back! But then again, others have said you have the quickest and sharpest keyboard on these boards. You get an "A" for consistency as far as I am concerned.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • I wonder if he knows he can't cancel listings early anymore starting this week?? I should watch this one and as it gets close to ending, snipe in a price less than he paid. Hold the coin back, Russ, you can ship it directly to me instead. image

A little late for that. He's likely had it for several days by now.

Yeah, but if you're going to do that, hold onto it for a few days. You can probably get a real good discount on shipping. image

Exactly! boraoul was willing to pay fdcnet $150 for it but because Russ had touched it & breathed on it he was only willing to pay Russ $132 for it.

He's got it up with no reserve now - snipe it back !

Edit - I think the PCGS price guide confused him image

  • I threw him a bid out of pity. It's low enough, though, that it won't stand until the end, and if it does stand, he's gonna be mad!!

Wouldn't it be a kick in the a** if you could buy it back for less than you sold it for? Email him and tell him you'll just hold the coin in case you do win it back, to save on shipping image

Since your eBay win is a contract then I see nothing wrong with selling it once you contractually own it - whether in hand or not. Obviously, it WOULD be a little safer having it in hand first but hey, Russ'll get it to him posthaste - AND safely as well image
