Coin question on Seated dimes

I picked up a raw 75-cc mint mark below dime at a show a while back. The dealer had it at AU and I could tell that it had not been cleaned and was in fact uncirculated. I thought it was 63-64, it came back from PCGS MS62.image But still a good find.

PCGS has graded only 17 examples in uncirculated condition, yet in a 62 it maybe a 300.00 coin. I've noticed other dates that appear to be in the same situation. Is the value placed on this series low because of market demand? Are there other factors that come into play?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Not every coin is entombed in a PCGS holder.......... Many collectors are still able to grade for themselves and buy/sell/hold RAW coins !!!!!! Population figures dont mean diddly squat in many instances. Also, the series isn't as heavily collected as many others, therefore, lower demand=lower prices

Keith-- Does your dime have a big rim cud on the reverse running from about 5 to 6 o'clock?
