Just to let you know why I think it might be a VF 20, the jawline is distinct and separate from the cheek and neck and the wreath is still well defined and not fully blended into the cap etc...

And the reasons listed above.

I don't think the coin is a VF. To me it is an F12 but PCGS might have gone as high as F15. This coin is undervalued.

Jeremy was the first to nail the grade...Followed by alot of other people.

When I submitted this coin I thought it would VF20. Maybe I was inflicted with "owners eye" but I still feel it is a VF.

Gotta take exception with PCGS and all who said F15. Going by the details of the entire coin (and not just LIBERTY), that coin is VF20.

I mean, look at the denticles for crisesakes! Anyone who thinks a F coin is gonna have denticles that sharp needs to have their head examined. The wing feather separation is 50%+. At least 9 of the obverse stars show partial radial line detail. Where exactly do the weak strike O mints show the most obverse weakness? On the border of LIBERTY and the hair above the brow. If that lower area of LIBERTY isn't fully struck, it's going to wear away quicker than it normally would... and it won't be proportional to the wear on the rest of the coin (as evidenced by THIS coin). That's why you can't grade a coin simply by referring to normal wear patterns. A 100% complete LIBERTY ain't necessary for a VF grade, folks. Gotta look at the entire coin. And this coin is VF20.

Sorry, PCGS, go back to coin grading school and PAY ATTENTION this time.
