I think it was Kelly and not Don. Nice coins!

They are not baked or artifically toned in anyway. I have never dealt with you and I don't appreciate that comment.

Huh? image Those 1972 dollars all come with colors like that from the case they were sold in. Everyone I have seen has similar toning. And I have several toned French francs like that as well (BTW, the 1909 looks particularly nice). image

I hope you meant to say that with a wink and just forgot.

When I first saw this statement I thought it was an inside joke between two members of the Darkside (Since I'm NOT a darksider I don't know who jests with whom). But now I see that Ajaan was not appreciative of that comment.

First of all, let me say that from everything I've seen, Don is a respected member of these boards.

Second, both of us being somewhat knowledgeable of coins and toning, could tell a mile away that these coins were totally genuine.

So therefore - to this Phillip person who made the statement about Ajaan - You're dead wrong, and in my estimation, you know nothing about coins. And for good measure - you're an idiot too.

Ajaan may be half-baked, but his coins are not!

I have always made a serious effort to be an honest seller, when someone says something like that about me (even if they are joking) it pisses me off!

    Frank,
Hopefully Philip was trying to make a joke and just hit the wrong emotion. Also, being from Bulgaria, if his profile is true, maybe it was just a language misunderstanding. When I got home from a tough day at school, my students were driving me crazy, I saw that remark and it just set me off. If I offended anyone, Philip, I apologize.

That's because I spent too much time in Asheville, NC. Two days in total.
