Iowa Quarters

Have they been released into circulation yet?

  • Was this a difficult question to answer?
"If I had a nickel for every nickel I ever had, I'd have all my nickels back".
  • Try waiting for more than 21 minutes.
  • It was a yes or no answer, no real thought involved.

I think so. Didn't they just have the ceremony the other day?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • Isn't a matter of "a lot of thought involved", it's a matter of people reading the thread, people being arsed to look up the answer and see, or people not really caring to answer.

Since you couldn't be arsed to go to the US Mint's website (www.usmint.gov) to see, yes, the Iowa quarter is now in circulation.
  • My my - someone's got their panties in a wad this morning!

For sure, and , BTW, I did go to the site.

  • I'm tired, and I've got the flu, and a headache to go with it.

Was just pointing out the obvious. And if you call me "Captain Obvious", I will hereby dub you "Ensign Evident".

Then you were two clicks away. "Special Programs", then "50 State Quarter Program".

Hey, I was on page two.

The quarters should have been released but I've yet to hear of any being reported.

That was the key in the question. I know they are available from the mint but have not heard of any being found in circulation. There are Texas quarters all over the place here, but I was curious about the IA.

I got two Denver Iowas today at a pharmacy here in town. They are both very
gemmy (MS-64) so I'll probably chase them down. The economy in this area is
fairly strong which might account for the early sighting.

My wife and I were in a little gift shop in North East, Maryland last friday when the cashier let out a shout. We looked up to see this person tell the other co-worker, "Look we got a roll of Iowas from the bank".
    Imagine getting excited over coins.
