How rare are they in Mint State 65 up...
Are the 1999 the rarer one ??????????????

I paid $62.50 each for 1-1998 & 2000 ICG MS 66 Rd

Was this a good buy?? Will these cross over to PCGS yall think?

Anyone have the pops?

Looks like the 1999 is more rare. The pops are very high at ICG then they are at PCGS. Not sure why.

The pops are higher at ICG because they were recognizing them long before PCGS did.

1992D with the close AM is very rare.

1999 with the wide AM is scarce.

1998 with the wide AM is somewhat common.

2000 with the wide AM is very common.

  • Anyone have any pics of the AM both close and apart?

    Thanks in advance

What Coppercoins said...although I would take issue with the word common. I don't believe any Wide AM will be "common " in your pocket change. C.

"common" meaning they are relatively easy to find in a stash of coins purchased from a bank in the right part of the country. I don't live in the right part of the country so I am excluded...but when you consider people are pulling these out of their change on a regular basis - they are common. There are tens of thousands of them out there....better than 75% of them are not slabbed, thus don't count in some pop report.

1998 wide AM coins come out of change somewhat frequently but not common.

You'd be lucky to find a 1999 wide AM in change.

You've just hit the jackpot if you find a 1992D close AM in change.

The general idea among those who have studied the subject in any depth is that there was one single die pairing used on each the 1992D close AM and the 1999P wide AM. There were between five and ten die pairings used for the 1998 wide AM cents. There were over 50 die pairings used for the 2000 wide AM cents.
