This is a 1994 National War Memorial Proof loon dollar. The design on the reverse is depicting the National War Memorial in Ottawa. It honours the contribution and sacrifice made by Canadian soldiers in both World Wars and the Korean war. I can't wait to get it I think I'm hooked on Loons....LOL!!! It would be neat if it were gold but the coin is made of 91.5% nickel 8.5% bronze plating and there were 54,524 of these proof coins struck Can I pretend it gold????

My next hunt is for the 1995 Peacekeeping proof loon which has the peacekeeping monument in Ottawa

send you his catalog. He doesn't accept credit cards, only checks, but is a very honest dealer and helped me find a lot of different Canadian coins I was looking for.
