Okay, here is a message I got today, about 2 minutes after the auction ended from the winning bidder.
Now mind you, he has just won a 7 day auction, one that he was the high bidder for about 3 days.

Dear acmesalesinc,
I apologize, however, in accordance with your no hassle return policy, I will be forced to return this item for a refund if paid for and shipped. I understand the inconvienence as this has happened to me as a seller before too and would therefore not object to paying your listing and reinsertion fee. I appreciate your undertanding as I noticed the issue more than 24 hours after submitting my bid and could not retract it. My hope was that another bid would take out mine which was placed in error. Please advise how you wish me to proceed.

OKAY FORUM MEMBERS PLEASE VOTE FOR ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS---
A: REPORT HIM AS A NON-PAYING BIDDER B: HAVE HIM PAY THE FEES C: FORGET IT AND MOVE ON
P.S. I WILL WAIT FOR 24 HOURS TO COUNT THE VOTES. I WILL PROCEED AS DIRECTED BY THE VOTE.

This has happend to me before too...The buyer was more than willing to pay all the fees, which was $30.
It worked out fine that way....So, B Have Him pay the Fees.

If it hasn't been too long you could do a "second chance offer" to the next in line, if you like.
Let him pay the fees, and relist...
Have him pay the fees, give the next bidder a second chance offer.
It's a hastle, but on the bright side he did bid your coin up
Stay Positive, Don't let a Dumb A__ screw your day !!!!

Then block him from bidding on your auctions anymore!
He could have emailed you and asked you to cancel his bids.

To error is human.
He has agreed to pay the fees. i would accept the fees. If he is new to ebay, that would be a consideration.
However, if he has been around for a while i would block him from future auctions.
