A PICTURE OF THE BEATER 1945-P DDR JEFF

Today at my local coinshop I went through the new stuff he had set aside for me and I purchased an 1899-O VAM-4 "Micro O" Morgan. Borderline EF-40. Top 100.
He had a completely filled Library of Coins Jefferson nickel album. All the coins were beaters and didn't really want them, I did want the album though. We haggled on the price for the items and struck a deal. It wasn't until I looked the coins over later in the day that I noticed that the 1945-P had an extreme DDR. I can't remember the FS # right now, but extreme doubling of end of Monticello and Cents.

<< <i>You didn't buy any 1921 Peace dollars, did you? >>
Fresh out.
<< <i>congrats... while the the vam 4 is perhaps the most common of the 1899-o micros, it is still a nice variety to own. Take a second look at it to make sure it is vam 4... There are other micro o vams (5 and 6 and some others that have been discovered) for this date. >>
It's the 4.

while this variety is by no means common, it's probably the most abundant of the "War Year" doublers if my searches count for anything. i've managed two in that time and suspect there are many more unknown in collector hands. we should probably be quiet now!!!

Yeah, I kind of figured if one fell into my hands, there's quite a few more out there. I thought it was pretty neat that I didn't want the coins in the first place but had to buy them to get the album and this turned up.
P.S. By the time I get through writing the ebay auction, it'll be SO rare that you'll want to sell yours! L@@K!!!
