My new 1873 closed 3 Liberty Seated Half dollar

This is my first Liberty Seated half dollar I have bought. It's a ANACS AU50. The coin is much better then the picture. It has good luster. The top of the obverse is toned blue. The coin has nice red toning. I'm trying to learn more about the series any info would be appreciated.

    Pick up the Wiley-Bugert book on seated halves........ It is the "Bible".................

    Plenty of coins out there to cherrypick varieties !!!!!!!!!

    If you're gonna collect by varieties, be prepared to throw away the price sheets!!!
