I spent about 3 hours walking the floor. It seemed very quiet and subdued to me.
I think the extended schedules of shows and auctions has finally blown away the dealers.
A number of dealers have in recent months, bought and sold large dollar amounts of coins.
The clients have been slow in paying off their purchases. This means that money is tight.
These dealers will buy coins if they have a specific want list from a client for the coin, but
would rather pass otherwise.I did more selling today then buying. Received a very fair buy
price from Larry Whitlow and was very pleased. Traded a magnificent Susqui Commem in MS-65
and a Grant cStar $1 in PCGS MS-67 to Larry Shepherd for a magnificently toned Ike Dollar 1978-s
PCGS PR-68 DCAM, a Morgan Dollar 1899-0 in PCGS MS-67( Larry Shapiro Collection )which verges on a MS-68
and finally a Barber Quarter 1893 in PR-67 Cam that is a shot 68 DCameo. Sold a Barber Half to Wayne Herndon
for a very fair price and bought a 1977-s in NGC PR-68 Cameo gold and blue toning from Bryon Osborn. I noticed that
a number of dealers did not put any stock out at all and just sat by empty tables. A number of better known companies
including Legend , Pinnacle, Larry Whitlow, Wayne Herndon and Larry Shepherd seemed to have people at the tables
but I notice a large number of other companies just seemed to be sitting with no visable bussiness. It appears that things may
be quieter untill the end of the year, although the market over all should continue steady to strong. I did see Idaho Gal and I
gave her a great big bear hug for everyone.
Tomorrow, Forum members will meet at the Information booth inside the Hall at 12:00 Noon for lunch and tall tales. Remember all
go to table #743 ,Texas Bullion Traders (Forum Member) if you need any PCGS Plastic coin boxes. They are free to Forum members who ask
for them

Maybe the dealers have churned the same coins over and over with each other and now need some collector money. Ebay sure seems to be active. Can't seem to get too much without paying a premium. I'll be there on Saturday to see who's buying.
BTW If I take a coin to PCGS for a oneday at the show, how many hours does it take?
I personally am getting coin "fatigue" and plan to hibernate for a while.
of old horse blankets (big bills). Since I dont collect
such, I didnt really pay much attention.

Then I visited two of my favorite dealers to "hawk" my CC Morgans. I negotiated quite a bit with the first dealer, and after several back and forth gentlemen offers and counter-offers I was able to sell my 1889-CC NCG MS60 PL and some MS65 85-CC for pretty good money. Thanks Tom!
Off I went to visit the 2nd dealers. I showed him a bunch of 93-CCs, 94-Ps, and 78-CCs. I had forgotten to bring my 92-CCs Just like the first interaction with the first dealer, a deal was stuck on a couple of MS62 93-CC's for "ok" money. Thanks, Steve
From my perspective, CC Morgans are as scorching hot as ever...with no let down in sight.

Looking for 1967 PCGS/NGC slabbed coins.

Good deal. They are also TCCS reps in attendance, yes?
Looking for 1967 PCGS/NGC slabbed coins.
If you want "strong" money for the 78-CC Morgan, get it slabbed in a PCGS holder. There is a tendency for dealers to pay more if the coin is tombed in a PCGS holder, despite what the coin looks like
If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
Not sure what grey sheet bid/ask is, but the last two sold at Heritage's Auction garnered the following prices:
NGC holder 8/04 $1,610 including juice,
PCGS, 7/04, $1705 juice included.
Hope that helps.
Goldberg just sold one at 1800, looked real nice. Fairtraders has one listed on ebay for 2350
Thanks for the info. and update. The 2nd dealer I spoke to stated that a lot of CC Morgans at Goldberg's auction "sold for over sheet."
It was nice to meet Bryan (Texas Bullion Trader) , Bear , and IdahoGal . Unfortunately another committment will keep me from making the lunch tomorrow.
