Just got off the phone with great friends about to be hit with Francis.....I for one would like to say that from all the members around the country that we wish you the best during this extreme time.....it is going to be a rough week .....I have been told that traffic heading north is at a standstill all day and that there is no gas available at gas stations, atm's are on strick limits but folks are hanging tough....Good Luck God Bless

I'm in Orlando with my Mother-In-Law ( I really couldn't leave her in a manufactured home in Port St Lucie which is on the East coast of Florida where the storm will probably come ashore could I?)

Currently the projected path is going to take Frances just south of my location in Orlando so if the track holds up I should be able to weather the storm in one piece.

If anyone else in Florida needs any Candles or Duct tape.....I think I have plenty to spare

Thanks everyone, I'm in Naples (SW FL) and I see that the land fall will be on the east coast. Frances seems to be headed on a west / northwest track. It'll slice up the upper part of the state...I think this is one of the worst years for hurricanes in over a hundred years.

It's a sickening feeling when you have no control over a situation. The only thing you can do is keep you and your family safe. I have a feeling this will take a while to recover from, but I'm hoping for the best.

After fighting with the insurance company for 3 weeks about possible mold, contracting with a company to determine if and how much is in my home and finally getting the insurance company to agree that walls need to be removed/replaced it looks like they may get another dose of mother nature's cleansing water. Any one need mold (have three times the normal amount of mold in my home than an average Florida residence thanks to Charley). Thanks for the prayers we may need them in Punta Gorda.
