Suspicion alert

So, uh, tell me if that creepy feeling on the back of my neck is warranted or not. Tell me what you guys think of this guy's auctions. He sells alot of toned coins, examples can be seen here and here. I am not good enough to tell if they are AT or not, but his Feedback is private, which makes me naturally suspicious. What do you guys think?

PS. Is there a way to block a seller so that I never see his aucitons?

    Go with your instincts.

Private feedback, no returns allowed, little description are all good signs of a poor seller.

Another clue on the AT is they all look alike. Typically you'll get variation in color across coins.

  • AT.

I agree with segoja that it is very suspicious that any seller would have so many similarly toned coins.

The two items you linked to look halfway decent, but some of the other coins he has up for auction are more obviously AT.

How to tell AT???? Well, if it looks like a duck, and smells like a duck, and resembles all the other members of the duck's immediate family, then it probably is a duck.....image

AT all the way. One of the quickest ways to tell AT or at least bring suspition is the low and high points on a coin tdo not tone all at the same time, you will find colors in all the low points but the high points will be a different color (That is natural toning).

Will I go to coin hell if I buy one of this guy's coins? I'm kind of curious to see one in hand image

If that's the case, I'll see you there. I even sent some of his work off to PCI to see what would happen. Of course they slabbed it no problemo!
