How was the toned coin market at the ANA show........Hot............Warm.........Cold??

    Check the Heritage's JFS auction prices and you can get a feeling about the nice toned coin market.

    The magic prices are only for the spectacularly toned coins.

    Run of the mill toning, gets run of the mill prices. Toned coins a bit

    better then ROTM coins get a better price but not outragiously so.

    I found cool toners to be a good seller at the show. These toners included at least a merc, roosies, franklins, and a Morgans or two). In general, the people that purchased the toners were much more excited about their purchases than the those that bought the brillant or typical/average toned coins. "Wow" and words to that effect were used by some to describe thier cooler toner purchases.

    I paid stupid money for a toned Peace $ in the Heritage Auction, if that counts.

    Peace -- not a 28, but a nicer 26-S than I currently have. Irish has a better chance of getting PCGS to label his diecrack quarter PMM than I do of finding a toned MS 1928 Peace $.

    I had not problem selling toned coins and I was not known for them.
    I think there is a strong market for nicely toned coins now and always will.

    Very easy to sell but hard to buy coins......or even find A+ color for sale.

    TBT.....sounds like the an equation for price increases to me.image Excuse my joy.....but I have been waiting until fall to sell some of my toners from my personal collection and was hoping the market would stay strong.

    B color maket is good and steady. C color coins have been gutted with all the eBay AT stuff.

    Monsters are still getting monster monies and toned buff's have taken off.........to the moon.

    It'll be awhile before I even get the coin. Heritage still has it. But I will certainly post a pic as soon as I can.
