Has anyone got any pictures of the Olympic medals, I have tried to make out the design from photos of the medal winners but there aren't any close-ups. Any other trivia / interesting info about these medals wouldn't go amiss either

Before these Olympics are over, some 3,000 gold, silver and bronze medallions will be awarded. The Greek firm Efsimon manufactured 986 gold, 986 silver and 1,150 bronze medals out of 28 pounds of gold and a ton each of silver and bronze.
Greek artist Elena Votsi carved a new design for the medals to mark the return of the Games to Greece.
The front of each medal shows a winged Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, alighting in the horseshoe-shaped Panathinaikos stadium in Athens, where the first modern Olympics was held in 1896. The Parthenon rises in the distance.
On the flip side is a flaming Olympic torch and an ancient Greek ode to the Games, penned by Pindar: ``O Mother of Gleaming Crowns of Contest, Olympia, Queen of Truth.''
The truth is, the gold medals are really just silver medals dipped in a 6-grams coating of gold - about $82 worth.
Come on over ... to The Dark Side!
